The Mother's Day Tea was a success once again! The children were filled with anticipation as they waited paitently for the moms to arrive. We instructed the children to keep a special secret from their moms, which I am told that they did a very good job not spilling the beans.
We also took special photos of the children to use to make a card for mother's day.
The children worked very hard to make mini muffins,
paint a flower pot,
draw a picture of their mom,
and plant the very special flower to put in the flower pot.
The day of the tea, the children all looked so pretty and handsome! They were so excited. They could hardly wait. When it finally was 10:30am the morning of the tea, we all went down to the sanctuary to put the finishing touches on each of the tables. The children did SO well. They helped with all the little details to make the day special for their moms.
They even pulled out the chair for their mom. During the muffins and lemonade and iced tea, their was a special photo time for "mom and me". It sure was fun and all of the moms sure deserve it!
