camping week

We started off camping week talking about the stars.  We read the book I Like Stars and even pretended that we were looking at stars by laying on the floor on our backs while we read the story.

 

We also had the Raptor Center come out and talk to us about the different Raptors that we might see when we were camping. 

 

 

We talked about what these birds like to eat.  We learned that the raptors like to eat other animals like...mice, rabbits, skunks, little birds, and even snakes. 

 

we even saw the Great Horned Owl eat 2 mice!!

On Friday, the MWF class had a special show and tell.  One of our friends brought his Aunt for show and tell.  She is a police officer and came and talked to us about what she does, about all her cool things on her belt, her car and then we even got cool color changing pencils, tattoos, and badge stickers!!!!!  It was a longer show and tell, but we all did an amazing job!
